LAMENT OF SCHOOL BOY
My little body is drenched
With my own blood
My head is not with me
My body is shattered too
Now no one is able
To recognize me.
The cruel dyed
His filthy dreams
With my pink blood.
My bag is collected
By a policeman
That was reddish and burnt too.
My colours, my paintings
My ideas, my dreams
All demolished just with a blast.
What about that doctor?
A scientist, an artist
An officer or a socialist
Who dwelled inside me,
For the sake of humanity.
Is there anyone to reply?

نثار میں تری گلیوں کے اے وطن کہ جہاں
چلی ہے رسم کہ کوئی نہ سر اُٹھا کے چلے
جو کوئی چاہنے والا طواف کو نکلے
نظر چرا کے چلے، جسم و جاں بچا کے چلے
ہے اہل دل کے لیے اب یہ نظمِ بست و کشاد
کہ سنگ و خشت مقید ہیں اور سگ آزاد
بہت ہے ظلم کہ دستِ بہانہ جو کے لیے
جو چند اہل جنوں تیرے نام لیوا ہیں
بنے ہیں اہلِ ہوس، مدعی بھی منصف بھی
کسے وکیل کریں، کس سے منصفی چاہیں
مگر گزارنے والوں کے دن گزرتے ہیں
ترے فراق میں یوں صبح شام کرتے ہیں
بجھا جو روزنِ زنداں تو دل یہ سمجھا ہے
کہ تیری مانگ ستاروں سے بھر گئی ہوگی
چمک اُٹھے ہیں سلاسل تو ہم نے جانا ہے
کہ اب سحر ترے رخ پر بکھر گئی ہوگی
غرض تصورِ شام و سحر میں جیتے ہیں
گرفتِ سایۂ دیوار و در میں جیتے ہیں
یونہی ہمیشہ الجھتی رہی ہے ظلم سے خلق
نہ اُن کی رسم نئی ہے، نہ اپنی ریت نئی
یونہی ہمیشہ کھلائے ہیں ہم نے آگ میں پھول
نہ اُن کی ہار نئی ہے نہ اپنی جیت نئی
اسی سبب سے فلک کا گلہ نہیں کرتے
ترے فراق میں ہم دل بُرا نہیں کرتے
گر آج تجھ سے جدا ہیں تو کل بہم ہوں گے
یہ رات بھر کی جدائی تو کوئی بات نہیں
گر آج اَوج پہ ہے طالعِ رقیب تو کیا
یہ چار دن کی خدائی تو کوئی بات نہیں
جو تجھ سے عہدِ وفا استوار رکھتے ہیں
علاجِ گردشِ لیل و نہار رکھتے ہیں

An open letter to prompters & influencers of Polite-ical chaos 08/2014
Dear Respect-less Audience,
Thanks to bless new democratic ecology recently evolved by well-tailored chaos pretending change or nonetheless aiming at bringing change. Again thanks to monarch-style democracy added with flair of brutality resulting countless tickers and good drift of priceless blood splashes. Thanks to planners, assessors, sponsors and off & on-stage contributors for putting their best efforts.
Apologies to successors of our deceased siblings & caretakers of injured ones, indeed it’s time of high trauma and sadness is still on rise. Simplistically masses have seen the unseen and exploration is still on go as August 14, 2014 arrives and thereafter (already passed). It shows level of inhumanity to observe justice being deliberately done on roads, which shakes every sane human being regardless of religion, creed with even lowest level of empathy. So we condemn violence as all other powerless, not pitiless politico forces.
Zarb-E-Azb, million IDPs and endless issues of public interest were put back and forth to flame new grudges and conspiracies. The battle of self-identifying audiences is resulting in ruthlessness, killings and misery for masses including ones for funerals and in ambulances. Heartlessness is limitless indeed, unfortunately defying arm-less, powerless head count has no significance in view of respect-less audience.
“Anger is more useful than despair”.
Humans go angry against disparities, inequalities and injustice. So called dignitaries quote it as a clown is able to drag masses attention on account of religion. Religion is a therapy, a widely accepted helping hand and a cushion to cure misery. It’s an intuitive linkage between creator and the human. Nobody can instigate others to kill their fellow beings if social-state is not fulfilling its duties rather putting containers, building more disparity and miseries.
Interestingly lack of politeness is not inbuilt at our society. Level of resilience has went down due to multiple well-grown social issues nurturing anger, inequality and endless battle for ownership of resources. Audience at large has committed the same crime while being influential at their best. Current anarchy, increased population, corruption and poverty are well planted seeds by dear audience of this letter. Whatever we’re reaping today is mainly because of your well-infused illiteracy leading chaos and fruitlessness.
Deficiency of collective wisdom inhibits ailing of unemployment, inadequate healthcare, unending energy crisis, bad governance and mismanagement of available resources. Death is a small word when it occurs in somebody’s family, religious cover of “God’s Will” and “Destiny” can’t serve well in the longer run when it comes to brutal killings on account of infused chaos.
It is requested to honor-less audience that the bloodshed may reach your home, out of politeness your kids and families might scream same as your workers. It’s very easy to conclude a meeting with inception of cruel killings and bloodshed.
I am a human being and citizen of this country, I request you to end up all this chaotic killing and resolve matters peacefully. You might end up sitting in huge villas but public can’t endure more misery and blood splashes. Enough is already drained by war on terror, no more please!
Hope sanity still exists somewhere.

An open letter to Rector, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology
COMSATS Institute of Information Technology aiming at “Making Difference” took extraordinary step by initiating an entirely innovative degree named Master in Energy Management (16+1=17 years) in order to develop indigenous professionals back in 2009. Opportunists signed up and enjoyed interactive sessions ranging from national energy security to world energy outlook by seasoned experts having leading roles in energy stream during two consecutive batches of 2009 & 10. Candidates used to accentuate research related courses (which were missing in our degree) since inception. Same missing content later founded “Dark at the End of Tunnel” for the “Future Energy Managers of Pakistan”.
In an assortment of formal requests, personal visits including many at HOD office and a few at Rectors’ during and after degree completion; the whistle blowing students kept on requesting academic bodies to upgrade this program as an MS equivalent by adding one or two more semester (s). Our university used to be an exclusively different public sector university in all its norms as of its student oriented approach. Unfortunately this issue was not given solemn deliberation and authorities kept on asking for making “DUA”. It was also among unmet promises that graduated students would be called back and the “Alumni” status would be rolled back to “Student” upon approval, by respectable academic bodies.
Now as misery grows by time the 16+1≠18 has proven bitter truth as no private or public university including Parent University is willing to induct us in any PhD program for nourishment of future academic deeds. In all this exercise, HEC also served as dummy character by issuing insignificant equivalence certificate for PhD admission; as its’ contradictory when official criteria clearly indicates a requirement of 18 years education (with research work of 6 credit hours). We have already spent enough resources in this all episode and can’t manage another full fledged degree. University may kindly take appropriate steps in order to minimize obscurity in lives of students and let this fallacy of 16+1+1≠18 be discontinued onward. It is requested to lay down an instantaneous way out by publicizing custom semester schedule in best interests of students and people of Pakistan.
This letter may kindly be considered as part of peaceful protest by energy graduates.
